How Do I Convert Other Activities Into Steps?
There are many enjoyable activities where a pedometer does not count accurately. You can add 1000 steps to your daily pedometer count for every 10 minutes (100 steps per minute) of moderate activity you do such as swimming, cycling, weight training.
For more vigorous activities such as running, brisk rowing and some sports (football/basketball/squash etc) you can double the step count - 2000 for 10 minutes (200 steps per minute). For more information view our conversion sheet.
