10,000 Steps has a strict privacy policy whereby any information that is collected (including details during registration of the Step Log and as a Provider) will not be disclosed to outside companies. Information is only collected when provided and not simply from visiting the website. The contact information provided will only be used to send updates and provide information as requested by the individuals. You may also be contacted to provide any feedback for research purposes and for improvements to the website.
Information collected including overall Step Log data may be used for research and health promotion purposes only, however no individual data will be disclosed.
Advertising Policy
The 10,000 Steps website does not host or receive funding from advertising or from the display of any commercial content. There may be occasions on the website where organisations and their websites are recognised for their support through donation of prizes.

The purpose of this website is to allow the physical activity resources of the 10,000 Steps Project to be disseminated and made available for use by individuals and registered Providers.
The information on the 10,000 Steps website is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her physician."
