Step Log Troubleshooting
My graphs are not displaying/updating properly or my daily steps will not save properly.
Here are a couple of things that our website requires you to allow on your computer settings for the interactive features to function properly.
- CHANGING YOUR INTERNET OPTIONS - With the internet open: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Under the "General tab" - Temporary Internet Files - click ‘Delete Cookies’ and then ‘OK’.
- Then under the "privacy tab" - click ‘Sites’ - enter 10000steps.org.au and click ‘Allow’ and then ‘OK’.
- You will then have to close and re-open your internet browser - see if that allows your graphs to update.
- LOGGING IN ON ANOTHER COMPUTER – if the above does not work, try logging into your Step Log and viewing your graphs on another computer in your workplace/at a friends. This will allow us to know if it is your computer settings, or a workplace IT issue.
- CHECKING YOUR ISP CACHEING - If you are logging in at work and your graphs didn't update, you may have to contact a workplace IT personnel (if you have them). Sometimes it is an ‘ISP cache issue’. (They should know what that means!)
When I am entering my extra activities do I have to take off my pedometer?
- With extra activities you either use your pedometer OR use the extra activities calculator. These are not to be used together only use one or the other.
- If you feel the pedometer is accurately counting your steps during an activity you may use the pedometer. Or, if you feel that the activity you are doing is not accurately being recorded by the pedometer, leave the pedometer off and instead use the extra activities calculator.
