10,000 Steps across Australian States

Our 10,000 Steps Program, website and mobile app are available for free to members across Australia, and countries outside Australia. Due to our limited funding, some features and support are only available to organisations and members in our funding states (currently Queensland and South Australia).

If you'd like to see expanded services and priority support in your state, please reach out to your local minister for health or sports and recreation and encourage them to fund delivery of 10,000 Steps in your state! Please see below for information specific to your state or territory.

Queensland

In Queensland, we support over 175,000 members and over 5,500 organisations with funding from our fantastic partner Health and Wellbeing Queensland.

For Queensland members and organisations, we are excited to offer priority support and new features for workplaces and community members. Please reach out if you'd like to find out more.

South Australia

In South Australia, we support over 37,000 members and over 1,100 organisations with funding from our fantastic partner Wellbeing SA.

New South Wales

As of July 2023, we have over 104,000 members and 3,300 organisations in New South Wales signed up to use our program. New South Wales is not funded for delivery of the 10,000 Steps program, and we can only offer limited 10,000 Steps services at this time.

Members in New South Wales are welcome to use our free website and mobile app to log their steps, add friends, join our Monthly Challenges, and run team tournaments with their organisations. Some of these features may have limits or additional features not available in your state.

10,000 Steps in Different Time Zones

Please be aware, 10,000 Steps is based in Central Queensland, Australia, and our website and mobile app features are set to Australian Eastern Standard Time. See What time is AEST for me? (TimeandDate.com)

The timezone of your location may impact your entry of steps by day. Our Monthly Challenges, Team Tournaments, and public Health Challenges also start and end at midnight AEST, which should be taken into account by Coordinators when setting up international and inter-state tournaments.

10,000 Steps Overseas

As of July 2023, we have over 92,000 members and over 3,600 organisations outside of Australia signed up to use our program. Overseas members are not funded for delivery of the 10,000 Steps program, and we can only offer limited 10,000 Steps services at this time.

Members outside of Australia are welcome to use our free website and mobile app to log their steps, add friends, join our Monthly Challenges, and run team tournaments with their organisations. Some of these features may have limits or additional features not available outside of Australia.
