Nov 2023 - Health Connect compatibility has been impacted by Android 14 changes to Health Connect. Please check Mobile App Troubleshooting for the latest update on Android status!

This guide is for members syncing steps from a 3rd party device compatible with Health Connect.

If you are looking to sync steps from a your Android phone's internal step tracker, please see Connecting Android phones via Health Connect.

Tracking apps reported as compatible with Health Connect include:

  • Samsung Health
  • Fitbit
  • Google Fit: Activity Tracking
  • MyFitnessPal
  • Peleton, Oura, COROS and others (if steps are tracked)

Some large proprietary tracking apps are currently compatible in only one direction, or do not share step data with Health Connect (e.g. Apple Watch, Garmin). See connecting 3rd party devices via Apple Health, or other ways to connect your Garmin.

Where 3rd party connection fails or devices record activity other than steps, Manual Entry is most accurate option. Manual Entry is available via our website or mobile app.
