10,000 Steps for Organisations and Coordinators
There are two key ways organisations can engage with personal challenges.
Promote Participation
Great for Clinicians, Health Professionals, or Support Workers
10,000 Steps simple, ready-made option you can recommend to individuals. Because no setup or challenge creation is required, 10,000 Steps is perfect for:
- Recommending a structured activity for a client or patient.
- Offering a low-barrier way for individuals to stay active.
- Supporting long-term engagement without requiring Coordinator involvement.
You don’t need to run or manage anything – just refer individuals to join 10,000 Steps and log their steps, activity, or health measures. 10,000 Steps community challenges like Monthly Challenges or the Annual Leaderboard could also be recommended.
Note: Activity and health measures on 10,000 Steps are private. You'll only be able to view these if you're part of the same Challenge and the participant chooses to share them.
Support Broader Engagement
Great for in between team-based events.
As a Coordinator, you can encourage or promote 10,000 Steps within your organisation as a simple, self-directed activity for individuals. 10,000 Steps is ideal for:
- Providing an easy, no-fuss option between team-based events.
- Keeping individuals engaged year-round without needing to run a new challenge.
- Supporting staff who prefer to be active on their own rather than in teams.
- Promoting a continuous culture of physical activity in your workplace.
Note: Steps, activity and health measures recorded are not shared unless members are a part of a larger Challenge or team-based competition. Check out Group Challenges, Tournaments, and Health Challenges for team-based competitions.
