Account Deactivation

Members who use their accounts intermittently (for example, once a year for a workplace tournament) will often deactivate their accounts between tournaments. Accounts can be made inactive by contacting the 10,000 Steps team.

  • Inactive accounts can't be used to login, participate in Tournaments, Monthly Challenges, Health Challenges, and Group Challenges.
  • Inactive accounts will not be sent Daily Reminders, Program or Campaign emails.
  • System emails (e.g. password resets) may still be received.
  • Deactivated accounts retain step, Tournament, Monthly Challenge, Health Challenge, Friends, Groups Challenges, weight, girth and other history that can be viewed again once reactivated.
  • Deactivated accounts can be reactivated at anytime by contacting us.

Account Deletion

Accounts can be marked for deletion by contacting the 10,000 Steps team or by requesting account deletion in the 10,000 Steps mobile app.

  • permanently logged out of the mobile app and
  • marked for deletion in our database.
