Young shiftworkers often face unique health and wellbeing challenges due to non-standard work hours. The Healthy Shiftwork website provides tailored, engaging resources for young shiftworkers (aged 18-25) on sleep, nutrition and physical activity – three pillars of health often impacted by shiftwork.

Resources available on the Healthy Shiftwork website were co-designed with young shiftworkers themselves, along with experienced shiftworkers and workplace health and safety experts. They are a product of best-practice science and lived experience, providing young shiftworkers with practical advice and empowering them to prioritise their health, despite their demanding schedules.

While these resources were designed with young adults in mind, the advice is relevant to shiftworkers of all ages. Advice for workplaces wishing to improve young shiftworkers’ wellbeing is also available on the Healthy Shiftwork website.
